Land Of The Free No More

My Angi said an incredible thing to me last night.  We were watching Ashley Force on ESPN and a commercial came on with all sorts of patriotic imagery and slogans.  One of them being “Land of the free”…Angi turned to me and said “how can this be the land of the free when you have to pay the government to stay out of jail?”

No shit Nancy, how can it?

I guess that’s part of the fundamental transformation of our country.

Vineyard Tile Installation Photos

As promised here are some photos we took last night after we finished putting sealer on the grout and caulking the tile to the cabinets and counter top.

Angi and I so miss being about to use or 4×5 Sinar to shoot interiors with. These are shot with a Nikon DSLR and that’s why the perspective is off. You can only correct so much in photoshop. We’ll eventually get a digital back for our RZ-67 that can be adapted to work on the Sinar with full perspective control. Anyone have $30 grand laying around???? LOL!

Out Of Focus

I read over at Politico that Obama is already planning his 2010 State of the Union speech……………WTF?  Is that all this man does is give speeches and spend time planning them?  We’re not even done with 2009 and all he has to his name is the addition of TRILLIONS of dollars to our debt via the stimilus.  None on his other key bills will be signed on his desk this year or possibly ever.  Cap and Trade and his Health Tax Initiative are going to both die in the Senate.

Reading the article his major plans will be to reduce the deficit…Really…Seriously.  That goes against every fiber of his being.  It must be an election year.

I was taking to a friend yesterday who is an Obama supporter about the Health bill.  He’s not as rah rah as he used to be.  He mentioned that the bill would be partially paid for by eliminating all the corruption and fraud in Medicare.  When I asked why don’t they just do that anyway, NOW and save taxpayers $500 million a years?  It was as if a switch was turned on in his head.  I think at that moment he realized just how much of this is BS.

A sculpture by Chinese artist Liu Bolin titled “Burning Man Obama” is tested at a workshop in Beijing November 11, 2009. The sculpture represents U.S. President Barack Obama’s impact on the world.

The real question for me is did the National Endowement for the Arts give Liu a grant to produce this hate crime artwork?  It looks like the word TIME is going through oilsoc’s head.  Maybe it for the magazines upcoming 95th cover with barry on it.

Vineyard Tile Backsplash Installation Snapshots

We installed the vineyard tile backsplash on Monday and grouted it yesterday. We need to go back and seal the grout in a few days and will shoot much better photos.

Word on the street is that Mass Murdering Terrorist Hasan was being watched by the FBI. That he went to the same spiritual adviser as two of the 9-11 hijackers. He was a member of a new coalition for muslim relations set up by Obama. He was an adviser to Homeland Security. He was a member of Solders of Islam.

How many more times will this be allowed to happen? All the 9-11 hijackers were under surveillance by the FBI and Mossad. Mossad wanted to take them out but our government wouldn’t allow it. Where was Zeva when we needed her? The FBI sat outside Atta’s Hollywood apartment for a year watching his every move, including watching him get on a plane for Boston.

Hasan is a terrorist plan and simple. It doesn’t matter whether he acted alone or not. He planned this entire event, there was no snapping. The only snapping should be his neck.

A Vacation Obama’s Not Willing To Take?

The man who spends more time out of DC than in it has decided not to attend the 20th anniversary ceremonies for the fall of the Berlin wall and Germany’s unification.
The man lives to travel and bask in the glow of European adoration.
So why no trip?
Would it be too hard to bash Americas past when we played such an important roll in bringing down the wall?

Mr. Obama, during his private pep talk to Democrats, recognized Mr. Owens election and then posed a question to the other lawmakers. According to Representative Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, who supports the health care bill, the president asked, “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”
