But DE, she’s not just a normal person anymore. She is the wife of the Head of State. There are protocols, proper decorum should be followed, she represents US! She wanted the job, well, now she’s got it. It’s a 24/7 fishbowl that lasts for 4-8 years, even on vacation. My God, she has 22 assistants on staff making close to $2million dollars to help her look like the FIRST LADY of the United States of America!! To me, it shows her lack of respect for this country. Sorry to disagree.

Now that’s interesting, GG, because a friend of mine has been saying all along that moilaoc looks like the washerwoman.
There are other casual, vacationing types of clothes that would cover her bow-legs and make her look less dumpy/frumpy—she’s disrespecting the office of First Lady. Another chance for her to express her disrespect. The plane has ample place/changing rooms and how many hours is the flight from the Grand Canyon—she could have easily changed into a linen shift or something that was a bit more “protocolish” in order for her to deplane more properly.
For me, this is just another opportunity for us to criticize her—and once again she does not have the requisite taste to be in the position she is in.

btw, my friend was in Tucson last week settling her son in for college. It was 99, but a dry heat. She did not feel any need to dress like an adolescent or a bimbo.
Hmmm. Her ghastly getups on Inauguration Day & their European adventures really wanted to make me wretch…but this…not so much. It bothers me a lot more that these people are taking advantage of their position to constantly travel on taxpayer dime. I’ve never seen anyone take so many vacations & “business” trips in 7 months. However, to the shorts issue, there are pix of Jackie in shorts during their various vacations & I don’t think a public figure should always have to dress up or expect to have every moment of their life photographed.
