Surprise, surprise Scott Brown is just another doofus lying politician.
An issue that refuses to go away, which surrounded the Scott Brown Senate campaign, was when Senator-elect Brown (R – MA) would be certified and sworn in as Massachusetts’s new U.S. Senator.
The Washington Times spoke to Mr. Brown’s spokesman Felix Browne, who said they expect the GOP’er from Wrentham to be seated in the Senate by February 11.
…According to the Brown spokesman, Senator-elect Brown and his staff are monitoring votes on the Hill as they come up. “If there is anything of concern, he may seek to expedite his seating,” said Mr. Browne. However, as of now, “hi-jinks or chicanery” is not suspected at the state level, Mr. Browne noted.
So I guess Scottie boy is not at all concerned about the vote last week to raise the debt ceiling another couple trillion dollars. A vote that went down 60 to 40 with his 41′s vote being cast on the 60 side by the man that’s sitting in his seat. I forgot the peoples seat.
I wonder what kinda vote would concern him. He’s voting record and the campaigning rhetoric are quite opposite.

I am reserving judgment for awhile, giving him a little leeway.
“Say What You Will…It Feels So Good”
Sounds like a “call me if you need me” moment to me. Scott Obama, they’re related you know.
Flashback!
I know, DE! Scott Brown is simply another politician with little experience who people have handed over all their hopes and dreams to. He says lots of idealistic things, but has no idea how to impliment them. Once you get into DC, (if he ever actually gets there,) you learn what you’re up against and you realize that you’re working with a minimum of 435 other people who may not share your vision. That’s why experience and common sense are so important. That’s why we tried so hard to get Hillary elected. That’s why throwing Martha Coakley onto the sacrificial table is somewhat self defeating.
Oh yes, I suspected they were related. The soaring rhetoric must be a family trait:
Family link is found between Obama and Scott Brown
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-obama-scott31-2010jan31,0,2227214.story?track=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+latimes%2Fnews%2Fnationworld%2Fnation+%28L.A.+Times+-+National+News%29&utm_content=Google+Reader
ournlistic giant Shepher Smith (Fox) reported that Brown and obama are second cousins, adding that the link is on oilsoc’s mother’s side. I kid you not.
I’m looking at Scott Brown’s election as a message being sent to both the GOP and DEMS by American taxpayers.
Saint Ted of Chappaquiddick’s seat being won by a Republican was a shot fired across the bough. Apparently, the first two (New Jersey and Virginia) weren’t heard at all.
I don’t expect Brown to be any different than any other politician (learned that lesson in the ’08 primary). They’re all scum, only outdone by slumlords.
The fact that the Dems continue to minimize this significant statement and the GOP continues to use it as a tool to convince some that their party is somehow better than the Dems is sophomoric at least, disingenuous at best.
BOTH PARTIES better watch out – the people have found their voice, and if Brown doesn’t reflect their wishes, he knows he’s headed for the dumpster along with everybody else who screwed us over
For the life of me I can not figure out how and why the appointed temp for MA is still casting votes! He is no longer the Sen as far as I know!
SSDD I guess!
I don’t give a rat’s ass about Scott Brown himself. I supported him to help break oilsoc’s (and the obamacrat’s) power monopoly.
Mission accomplished, and more trust_busters to follow!!!!!
Brown is now on his own, and
ifwhen he betrays his supporters, we’ll make toast out of him.I’m not sure that Brown has any say so as far as when he’s sworn in. I have no idea why he hasn’t as of yet, but I doubt if he asked them to delay it.
I’m not ready to throw him under the bus just yet…not over something he doesn’t seem to have control over. If he does screw up, I’ll be the first to call him out on it, though. I’m not so delusional to believe that the guy can’t be a crook. Most of them are, it’s just all a matter of degree.
We may both have to get a foot on that spot, Nunly. At this time, I’m content with his election to that seat being a big fat message to both parties.
In NJ, Christie won for the same reason. NJ residents have let him know in no uncertain terms that they have him on a short leash and he better tow the line. I daresay the GOP (and the Dems to a lesser degree) know that too.
As far as Brown – lets see what he’s going to do. Be sure that Mass. residents will kick his ass if he pulls any funny stuff.

Well I am from MA, so I already knew Scott Brown sucks too. It’s going to be fascinating watching his position on the repeal of DADT. He pivoted really well with Baba Wawa Sunday morning, but he can’t keep that up for long.
What’s a Scottie to do?
Does he vote as the majority of his MA constituents would want and support the repeal?
Does he vote as the majority of the people who got him into office would want and keep DADT?
As his daughter’s manager, does he dare risk the ire of Hollywood over the issue?
Maybe he’ll luck out and his seating can be delayed a little longer. But at some point, he is going to have to vote. He can only be a blank screen upon which others project for so long.
He’ll vote present! Sorry he’s not from Chi-town. He just won’t show up.
Where in MA are you Tupp. My parents grew up in New Bedford. Most of my relatives are up there.
I am smack in the middle of MA ( where the state changed from blue to red during the last election ). New Bedford! Now I have a craving for some really authentic Portuguese cuisine made with right off the boat seafood.
DE – sorry I am late in stopping in, but it seems Scott is missing a few other things as well

however – if you look at the numbers, the GOP would have been missing a few “Nays” even if Scott had gotten dressed and shown up
Just goes to show you the GOP is not our saviors but just another thing in our way.
And just another lying sack of crap oilsoc and his friends nominate to run the country.
jeesh
Interesting reading the comments in that Herald article. Obviously, they don’t read the Globe which had an article yesterday saying although the election will be certified today or tomorrow- Brown is choosing to have a swearing in ceremony on February 11th. Or the article last week, where he was kibitzing that 2-3 weeks was a hectic schedule for him to shut down his state office and transition to DC. He also needs to resign his state seat in order to be sworn into the federal seat- which he hasn’t DONE YET. ” Seat Scott Now” was a just a campaign slogan. But a good one, since it highlighted Reid/ Pelosi games.
I wish he would resign his state seat ASAP so a special election can be scheduled. I think some of the hold up is to give the State Repubs a chance to draft a canididate with a chance of winning. Pfftt…. I hope it goes to a decent blue dawg dem.
