(Reuters) – The White House plans to ask Congress by the end of the week for an increase in the government’s debt ceiling to allow the United States to pay its bills on time, according to a senior Treasury Department official on Tuesday.
Since our government will never take in more than it spends ever again why not just eliminate the debt ceiling all together and never have to fight about raising it.

I guess they have to ask so they can try to cover their asses.
If they get their way, we might as well stop using currency because we will never be able to keep up with infinite debt. I’m with Mary, they are feigning political correctness.
